The Shack

This is one of the most insane sandwiches that I've ever seen/eaten after assisting on a shoot for "The Shack" in downtown St. Louis I had to try this stake, cold slaw,French fries, tomatoes and two sunny side up eggs! It took me five minuets just to figure out how to eat it but it was great and the chef was more then friendly the staff was helpful and the location is perfect being across the street from SLU (St.Louis university)

Fresh Gulf Tuna!

Vacation means great seafood and I don't think I love anything more then fresh tuna!

The Conch Republic is a fantastic restaurant I always make a point to go at least once in Florida great food and always some of the freshest fish around!

Urban Chestnut Brewing Company

A Great new local brewery! With a beautiful taste room located at 3229 Washington Ave St. Louis, MO 63103, Urban Chestnut is a great addition to the St. Louis area's growing craft beer scene. Next time your downtown for the night you should stop by and try anyone of the fifteen beers that are on tap from their Revolution or Reverence series. Using two different styles of beer making they call "Beer Divergency—a ‘new world meets old world’ brewing approach wherein UCBC contributes to the 'revolution' of craft beer with artisanal creations of modern American beers, and pays 'reverence' to the heritage of beer with classically-crafted offerings of timeless European beer styles." there is a beer for everyone!

WELCOME!

Welcome to Soup to Nuts a food blog. My name is Brendan Moloney a photographer from St. Louis Missouri. I love food and cooking trying new recipes and making interesting new things. I love organic and sustainable agriculture and I am trying to create a good relationship with as many local purveyors of as many different products as I can, learning how and where they are all made, who to use them, people who are behind the products and of course how they taste.
