Hot day downtown but I love shooting in the city, it a great reminder of what makes me love living in St. Louis. Sometimes it's easy to criticizes the place you live but when you slow your life down a bit it's much clearer to see why you love where you live...

Nathaniel Reid is a very highly awarded and accomplished pastry chef and St. Louis is that much better of a city with this place here! Highly recommended for breakfast, lunch or any reason you could possibly think of!....

A long HOT summer means, a LOT of peppers! I'll be drying some making hot sauce and pretty much putting them in anything I can!
A little late afternoon sugar rush never hurts every now and then! If you're going to eat something like a doughnut ( fried bread and sugar with more sugar on top) to over simplifie, then make sure it's worth it, right?!? Well the apple fritter at Drive in Donuts in St. Louis is worth it! A perfect balance of soft and crunchy with big chunks of real apple and a very light glaze definitely makes it perfect late afternoon pick me up, who needs 5 hour energy....

Once the temperature rises above I feel compelled to cook outside, something about the smells and sounds, the different textures and flavors you can get on a grill is something special!
For my money I don't care what any groundhog has to say, spring is around the corner when I see these little basterds in all the store, I know nothing about them is "good" but they're definitely a childhood favorite of mine and I always find myself having at least one every year.
No jobs all month is a bit defeating but I love photography and taking pictures of amazing people and the incredible food they can produce keeps me motivated #keeponmovingon
As an only child and a latchkey kid it was hard for me to understand the importance of a great "sit down and shut up,...so.....what kind of day day did you have"...... dinner!?!???'..... My wife grew up with 5 younger siblings and loves it... And after 14 amazing years with her and of corse her great.... Big itilan famliy I've never looked back no matter if it's a good or bad day with her I would never give A single one back!
Winter comes and the kitchen slows down late at night, working in kitchen isn't for everyone but I love it
